1. How can I locate an authorized Beach by CLC retailer?
Beach by CLC is sold by more than 400 surf shops, spas, salons, boutiques and specialty retailers nationwide, and online at beachhandbags.com. Please call 714.901.200 or email info@californialeashco.com to find an authorized Beach by CLC retailer near you.

2. May I return my Beach by CLC handbag for repairs or replacement?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your Beach by CLC purchase. If your bag is in need of repair, please send it to our repair department:

Be sure to include a note with your address, daytime phone number, email address and instructions along with your repair. Please allow 2-3 weeks repair time from the time we receive your Beach by CLC products, including transit time.

If you purchased through an authorized Beach by CLC retailer, please return to the store where your purchase was made, so that your product can be thoroughly inspected. The store will be happy to handle your return appropriately.

If you purchased your product through beachhandbags.com and wish to return your order, please follow the instructions under “Shipping and Returns “section of this website.

3. How can I contact a Beach by CLC customer service representative?
Please call 714.901.2000, 9am - 5pm (WST), Monday through Friday or fax 714.901.2011, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also email customer service at info@californialeashco.com. Our representatives will answer any product or company inquiries you have.

4. What if I place an order and Beach by CLC doesn't have the item in stock?

While we make every effort to maintain a generous supply of our stock, occasionally we run out of certain items. Please visit our website regularly to check item availability. If an item is not in stock, please revisit our site. If an item becomes unavailable after your order has been confirmed, we will notify you by email or telephone.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept back orders at this time.

5. Does Beach by CLC have a showroom?

Located at our corporate headquarters, our showroom is open to the public, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Come in and view our entire collection. Purchases can be made directly from our showroom.

6. Where does the “leash” in California Leash Company come from?

The word “leash” in California Leash Company comes from Karl’s ingenious idea to use surf leash cords as handles for some of the handbags. His unique idea for his handbags was to “utilize the materials we consider or use for summer beach and surf activities into something fashionable.” High-grade neoprene, the material used for wet suits, replaced traditional canvas, and surf leash cords which are found on all surf boards, became handles.

7. How do I clean my bag?

Beach by CLC recommends hand washing the bags with a mild soap/detergent. If the stain is deeper then you can use a soft scrubber. Machine wash and dry is not recommended.

8. Where do the numbers in the names for your prints and bags come from?

Each bag has a style number where B indicates that it is from the “Beach” line. Then the following two numbers are for the year that it was designed and made available to the public. For instance the Sand Dollar Beach diaper bag is “B0701”, indicating that it was designed in 2007.

Each print name begins with “BP” for “Beach Print” and ends with a number that corresponds to the order in which it was introduced into the Beach line.

9. Where do the names for each bag come from?

The name for each bag is inspired by a different California beach.

10. Who designs and manufactures all of the bags and prints?

Karl Ozinga designs all of the bags and accessories for CLC. All Styles go through a rigorous test phase where they are sampled over and over until they meet the quality standards that CLC is known for. Upon completing each style, Karl designs and selects prints. After the styles and prints reach final approval, they go into production and ultimately end up in the hands of our beloved customers.

11. How long does it take to receive my order after it is shipped?

Orders are processed Monday through Friday. In stock items will be shipped within two business days. You will be contacted by e-mail if your order cannot be filled completely within two days. Products are shipped via USPS or FedEx Ground.
